Supernova on Blog Chitarra e Dintorni!



SUPERNOVA was born with the idea of ​​bringing together the best young Italian soloists , all winners of major national or international competitions , in an guitars octet designed and directed by Arturo Tallini , international well known concert player , guitar’s professor at the Conservatorio of Santa Cecilia in Rome.

Eight Italian classical guitar "young stars" come together to propose an explosive and exciting show presenting the countless possibilities of their six strings. The idea is to combine the classic and the contemporary , the experimentation and the consolidated repertoire , to give energy and life to fore ever changing sound object, being able to draw a new musical shape to research, tradition and silence.

The young musicians of the ensemble - all well-known in the Italian guitar scene – are from 17 to 27 years old , and come from Novara , Grosseto, Rome , Pavia, Naples , Turin.
A group of absolute talent led by a guitarist who for years has been reference in Italy and abroad for the contemporary repertoire , a musician out of the norm that explores the guitar, guitars , looking for a personal and visionary sound.

The project, which started in the summer of 2013 already has concerts at the International Guitar Festival of Monterotondo ( broadcast live and delayed replica on RadioCEMAT ) and the famous IUC - University Institute Concert , University "La Sapienza" of Rome, in front of an audience of hundreds of enthusiastic young people .

SUPERNOVA was born also to send a message of appreciation forf talent and excellence through collaboration and networking .
We assist to eight promising soloists who agree to challenge and to make available their individual capacities for the construction of a group and a collective bet .
Supernova is produced in partnership by the shipyard of Music in Monterotondo , Arte2o and the Campus of the Arts
